Richard Murray

Richard hails from Northern Ireland and is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter. After music college, he worked around London as a session musician throughout the 2010s, before beginning a career as a touring showband musician in 2009. Since then Richard has lived and worked in many bands (often with JCRs very own Joe Curtis) throughout Europe, the Middle East and The Far East. During this time he starred in the touring UK theatre show Born in the USA and has been a member of Celtic Rock band Pure Blarney. As a singer/songwriter Richard has released alot of solo material including the albums ‘Desert Wind’, ‘Borealis’, ‘Meet Me Halfway’ and, after signing to Ginger Syrup Records in 2018, ‘The Long Haul’.

Other artists Richard has been writing and performing with include Eden James, The Silver Seas, Lucy Layton, Elliot Randell (Steely Dan), Andy Leek (Dexys Midnight Runners), Mick Flinn & Paul Layton (The New Seekers) among others.
