Do You Make The Most Of Every Day?

Artrix Show Photos on FlickrThere is now only just over a week to go before the first public live performance of Clive John's song, “Make the Most of Every Day”.

This song was written especially for Acorns, Clive and the band's official charity, and all proceeds (yes, every penny!) from the sale of the CD on the night will go to Acorns.

Performing with us at our Malvern Forum Theatre charity show on 15th January 2009 will be the superb choir from Sytchampton First Endowed School.

The CD will also be available to buy at our shows and, along with MP3 downloads, from MixdupStore.

We'll Be Back After The Interval

Please note that due to the huge demands upon Clive, his team and the band, for the charity concert in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice on 15th January the next "Clive to Camera" video and Members Area update will be in February, instead of January.

Thank You & A Merry Christmas!

Johnny Cash Roadshow at the Artrix TheatreThank you to everyone who came to our Johnny Cash Roadshow Christmas show at the Artrix Theatre in Bromsgrove last night.

It was a fantastic night made extremely easy to pull off due to the wonderful and professional team of staff at the theatre under the guidance of duty managers Nick and Dawn. Thank you, in particular, to Chris for making everything work to technical perfection, Tom for the wonderful lighting, and Rob, Dave & Ash for the sound. Dave and Ash are from MixdupMusic (MUM).

Thank you also to all of our kind audience members who gave money to our goal of raising £10,000 for Acorns. (To help us hit our target, which will contribute to providing care for life-limited children, please donate on our Just Giving web page).

This is starting to sound like an Oscars acceptance speech ;-) There are a lot of people involved in making a show happen and thank yous need to be said.

A BIG thank you to Robert Page, our director, for his guidance and coaching. It's hard work but great fun working with him.

A massive thank you to Ivan, Karen, and John, for all of their hard work behind the scenes - they keep the wheels on the tour bus rolling.

We'd also like to thank our Mums, Dads, dogs, pizza delivery guy… okay, Oscars moment over!

Merry Christmas from us all!

Help Us Raise £10,000 for Acorns

Acorns is our official charity and we want to raise £10,000 for this essential charity that provides much needed care to life-limited children and support for their families throughout the Midlands.

We are hoping to reach this target to coincide with the Johnny Cash Roadshow Grand Charity Benefit Concert at the Malvern Forum Theatre on Thursday 15th January 2009.

We have set up a Just Giving webpage to make it as easy to donate as possible. The Just Giving widget above shows our progress so far and by clicking the “DONATE!” button on the widget will take you straight to our donation page.

www.justgiving.com/acornsjohnnycashroadshow

We would like to say a big thank you to our very generous audience members, and to our Malvern Show sponsors, for getting us off to a fabulous start - £2,053.00 so far!

The Just Giving website offers a quick and simple way for people to raise money for their charity whilst also adding gift aid to the donation.

To put a scale on things - £10,000 pays for just over two days of running costs for one Hospice! Could you spare a pound or £2?

John's Choice

John Hartley, from JEH studios, handles all of our online presence, design, and imaging. We'd be lost without him!

He has uploaded his favourites from the selection of photos that he took at our show at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms (27th September 2008) to his Flickr account. Take a look at them in his Johnny Cash Roadshow Ludlow Assembly Rooms Set.

Thanks John
