Fundraising For Acorns. So Far...

Following our sell-out Charity Benefit Concert in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice at the Malvern Forum Theatre in January, we had two sold out theatre shows in Hereford and Solihull.

All of these shows have had very generous audiences - thank you - and, now that we have had confirmation from Acorns, we can announce that our current fund raising effort has raised £6,349.41 for the charity.

We continue to raise as much money as possible for our official charity, particularly with the current financial climate, at our shows, special events, and from the sale of the Acorns' Song CD.



Clive wrote this song especially for Acorns and all proceeds from the sale of the CD and MP3 downloads will go to Acorns.

Make the Most of Every Day

We have uploaded the first live performance of Clive John's song "Make the Most of Every Day", which was written especially for Acorns Children's Hospice.

This wonderful charity provides much needed care for life limited children by running three hospices, and providing care in the community, in the West Midlands, UK.

This performance was recorded at the Johnny Cash Roadshow's grand charity concert, in aid of Acorns, at the Malvern Forum Theatre. We were joined on stage by the wonderful Sytchampton School Choir (6-9 year olds), who also performed on the recording of the song, and Richard Gibson on the piano.

Charity Show Is Sold Out!

Absolutely fabulous news that we received from the Malvern Theatres box office today - our charity show in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice on 15th January is sold out!

This is really fantastic. All the hard work that has gone into this show by so many people (Ivan, John, Karen, Dave, Ash, Sophie, just to mention a few) has been rewarded by a sell-out event and means more money going to Clive John & Johnny Cash Roadshow's charity.

Do You Make The Most Of Every Day?

There is now only just over a week to go before the first public live performance of Clive John's song, “Make the Most of Every Day”.

This song was written especially for Acorns, Clive and the band's official charity, and all proceeds (yes, every penny!) from the sale of the CD on the night will go to Acorns.

Performing with us at our Malvern Forum Theatre charity show on 15th January 2009 will be the superb choir from Sytchampton First Endowed School.

The CD will also be available to buy at our shows and, along with MP3 downloads, from MixdupStore.

Please note that due to the huge demands upon Clive, his team and the band, for the charity concert in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice on 15th January the next "Clive to Camera" video and Members Area update will be in February, instead of January.

Chris passed away in 2005.

The Johnny Cash Roadshow will complete the tribute to the Man In Black with the lovely Rosie Lee performing as June Carter.

In A Whisper Shoots To No.1!

Clive John (singer from The Johnny Cash Roadshow tribute) has a new unplugged version of his song “In A Whisper” and it has shot to number 1 in the British & Irish Top 10 HotDisc chart.

His fantastic acoustic mix entered the chart last Thursday at No.2 and today (13th Nov.) it popped into the No.1 slot. “In A Whisper” is also at No.4 in the Hotdisc Top 20 Chart (No.7 last week) and No.5 in the Hotdisc Top 40 Chart (No.8 last week).

Clive John, lead singer of The Johnny Cash Roadshow, starts his fantastic “Clive to Camera” series on 1st November 2008 - not long to go!
